With the inauguration of the North Valley LA website, our goal is to bring you the most up-to-date information about the community and special events and yes, DEALS! to make your life easier. The North Valley is often forgotten until we have a fire, flood or earthquake in deference to our more famous LA cousins, Beverly Hills and Hollywood. Our population is made up of a great melting pot of divergent ethnicities, religions and of course, interests. Food? You name it, you can find it in the North Valley! We plan to expand the scope of our content. Have an idea? Just let us know. We want your input. Just go to the Contact Us page and let us know what you would like to see.
Below is a neighborhood map of the area according to the Los Angeles Times and pretty much defines the intended reach of this website. However, the LA Times does change the neighborhood names a bit from how they are rerferred to by most people and by the post office. An example is the area northeast of Glenoaks Blvd. between Sunland and Cabrini Village. Usually this is referred to as Sun Valley, however, the LA Times, due to population and area, denotes it to be in the Shadow Hills area. (Read their reasoning here.) This website, however, will direct you accordingly depending on what information is being given, such as fire departments or explaining the various city council and neighborhood council jurisdictions.
