Granada Hills, City of Los Angeles, CA

At the request of a stakeholder, we are posting the following information regarding a petition the affects those in the Granada Hills area:

The proposed community plan for Granada Hills includes zoning changes for the entire community. There is a specific plan sub-area that reduces the property owner’s maximum residential home square footage by 40%, for a minority of property owners who live in the Old Granada Hills (OGH) area. By walking the neighborhood and speaking with homeowners, I have found over 90% were unaware of the proposed restrictions. They also feel they were not properly notified by their Neighborhood Council or the Department of City Planning.  The Old Granada Hills sub area boundaries are: Zelzah on the West, Amestoy on the East, San Fernando Mission on the North and San Jose on the South.  A significant percentage of property owners in the affected OGH area have already signed the petition in opposition to the proposed changes and to keep the current R1 zoning and Floor Area Ratios, established in 2008 for all residential property located in the City of Los Angeles. There are also many owners of businesses on Chatsworth Street who have signed a commerce version of the petition against the proposed changes for Old Granada Hills.

Would you please post the Petition website: http://oldgranadahills.com on your community information page.
Many thanks,
William Kuzmin
